UPnP Forum とは 概要 1999 年 6 月設立 非営利のアソシエーツ ( 法人格を有してない ) メンバー数： 524 (2002 年 10 月現在 ) 目的 DCPs 標準仕様の策定 相互接続性の検証 UPnP の推進・普及

Steering Committee とは 構成 マイクロソフト社 ( 終身メンバー ) と、 Forum メ ンバーの投票により選ばれた 19 社 ( 計 20 社 ) から なる。 任期 2 年（毎年、半数を改選） 役割 Working Committee の設立とその監督 DCPs の最終承認 メンバー / 公衆とのコミュニケーション Forum の運営、マーケティング、ロゴ認証プロ グラムの管理 5 つの sub Committees SC メンバーからなる

UPnP Forum へ入会するには 入会手続き UPnP Forum Membership Agreement にサ インする Member Registration Form に記入する 入会費・年会費は一切なし 法人・アソシエーツ・個人が入会可 義務 相互接続性を意図的に妨げる目的のためだけ の実装は行なわない IPR Policy に従う

IPR Policy とは 特許権 ( 必須の特許 ) Member Input(MI) を提出するメンバーの特許権 Forum メンバーに対して RAND-0 でライセ ンス Member Input を提出しないが、他のメンバー により提出された Member Input に関する特許 権 Forum メンバーに対して RAND でライセン ス RAND ： 非差別・妥当な条 件 RAND-0 ： RAND で Royalty は ゼロ DCP A社A社 MI RAND-0 B社B社 C社C社 RAND

UPnP Forum 入会のメリット DCP 仕様策定に寄与できる DCP 仕様への early-access が可能 メンバーのもつ必須特許を妥当・非差別の条件で ライセンスを受けることができる Device の認証を受けるにはメンバーであることが 必須 さらに UIC メンバーになる必要あり UPnP Forum メンバーとして各種ショウでの製品 展示が可能 同業 / 異業種メンバーとの意見交換ができる 入会費・年会費が不要

UPnP Membership Agreement の修正 V2 Architecture の策定プロセスを追加 2002 年 10 月に修正された Steering Committee の下に設置された Architecture Committee で v2 の策定を行う Architecture Committee SC メンバーから選出される (up to 7) V2 仕様は、 Architecture Committee の全会 一致の賛成と、 Steering Committee の 3/4 の 賛成により承認される

Steering Committee 設立 (1999.10) 以来、 SC メンバーとして、 Forum の運営に寄与してきた Steering Committee の sub Committees Legal Committee の chair を務め、法的問題の 解決に寄与してきた Working Committee プリンタ、 AV の仕様策定に寄与してきた Scanner sub-Committee の chair を務め、仕様 策定に寄与してきた UIC Vice President を務める /UIC 設立に寄与してき た キヤノンの活動実績
