1 In Ancient times, astronomers observed the sky and noticed there were seven brighter “stars” running faster than the other stars. They named the days of the week after them. These “stars” were: The Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn. We now know that the Sun is indeed a star, the Moon is Earth’s satellite and the other five “stars” are planets.
