ご is a polite prefix for nouns. Chapter 3-2 Vocabulary ごかぞく gokazoku (someone’s) family ご is a polite prefix for nouns.

Chapter 3-2 Grammar points Grammar A: AとB (Noun 1 と Noun 2) The particle と (to) conjoins two or more nouns. It is translated as and. It CANNOT ever be used to conjoin anything but nouns. It is not replaceable by commas like in English.

Chapter 3-2 Grammar points Examples: べんさんとえみさんはきょうだいです。 bensan to emisan wa kyoudai desu. Ben and Emi are siblings. かぞくはちちとははとわたしです。 kazoku wa chichi to haha to watashi desu. My family is my father, my mother and me.

Chapter 3-2 Grammar points Grammar B: 〜は? 〜wa? This means, “how about ~?” When the ending of a question is understood by both the listener and speaker it is common to use this abbreviated form. It is used mostly in speaking, rather than writing.
