岐阜市立女子短大の学生６人が、世界遺産登録されているイタリア・フィレンツェ歴史地区のサンタ・マリア・デル・フィオーレ大聖堂に落書きをしたとして、大学から厳重注意処分を受けた。見晴らし台にある大理石の壁に、黒油性ペンで全員の名前と日付、ハートマーク、大学の略称「岐女短」と書き添えていたことで発覚した。 大学側が２４日、発表した。６人は２月、学生３６人でイタリアに研修旅行をした際に大聖堂を訪問した。 大聖堂側に謝罪文を送って許しを請い、大学も謝罪したところ、「修復の費用負担は不要」との返事があったという。 （朝日新聞 2008） People with Japanese nationality are not graciously polite and kind to others.
