Questions using どう (how) ~は どうですか。=How is ~? Eg 日本語は どうですか。 How is Japanese? Answer a questions with どう using an adjective: 日本語は たのしいです。 Japanese is fun. Never use どう in your answer.
Questions using どんな人 There is another type of question we can ask: ～は どんなひとですか。 What sort of person is ~? Eg おねえさんは どんな ひとですか。 What sort of person is your older sister? Replace どんな人 with the description you want to use: eg あねは せが たかいです。 My older sister is tall. Never use どんな人in your answer.
Grammar Note 文法 （ぶんぽう） おねえさんは どんなひとですか。 おねえさんは どんなひとですか。 ～は どんな ひとですか。＝what sort of person is ~. Replace どんなひと with the description you want to use: eg あねは せが たかいです。 My older sister is tall.
