Now, Bart is talking to Chief Wiggam about his family members. Then, he has to use familiar/humble form. ちち はは いもうと そふ

Older sister おねえさん あね Younger bro おとうとさん おとうと The familiar/humble forms are used when you talk about your own family members to someone in out-grou or non-immidiate family members. Polite forms are used when you talk about someone else’s family members or within your immediate family members. Younger sis いもうとさん いもうと Grandmother おばあさん そぼ Grandfather おじいさん そふ

Stepfather: ぎふ Stepmother: ぎぼ Other family members: Husband: shujin (not shuujin) means “main person”. Otto means grown-up men. Some wives call them “uchi-no hito” or “hazubando”. Wife: kanai literally means “inside the house”. Tsuma means married women. Okusan is similar to kanai meaning “deep inside”. Some men call them as “waihu” or “uchi-no”. In-laws are simply referred to as giri-no X. Giri-no otoosan/chichi, etc. Parental relationship based on adoption is rare in Japan but stepfathers/stepmothers are generally called gihu and gibo.
