How do we make this? Affirmative (a bit funky) おなかがいたいんです。 くすりをのんだほうがいいです。 To make a suggestion, we do the short past form + ほうがいいです。 Think of it like You had better (should) do this. Negative めがいたいんです。 ほんをよまないほうがいいです。 To say you shouldn’t do something, use the short present negative + ほうがいいです。
